This oil painting was partially done from a model named Virginie, that I hired to pose in my studio.  It was later completed from a photograph.

I had just completed a workshop with Margaret Carter Baumgaertner in Wisconsin and wanted to practice painting a person staring directly at the viewer.  Her gaze does eerily follows me around my studio!
